Japanische Eibe

The slow growing Yew-trees (dt. Eiben) were once revered as a sacred tree. They were seen as tree of druids and used as magic wands, dowsing rods and to protect against evil spirits. For the ancient Romans and Greeks, the Yew tree was considered a gateway to the underworld and a guardian of the soul.
